ACTIVITIES OF THE INDUSTRY AND IT'S CORPORATE MEMBERS

JAPAN CLEANSING WIPES INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION

This industry Association is formed by those who manufacture, sell and /or import the finished goods or their constituent materials of cleansing cotton, wet tissue, bottom wipe for baby and adult, wet hand paper towel, hand wipe and so on. Within the association, there are 3 divisions and 3 committees.

Cleansing Cotton Division The activities and purposes of this division are to provide the information to consumers and exchange information among members in an aim of promoting the products through the production of Q&A guidebook on the product which falls in the quasi drug category.

Wet Tissue Division This division works for promoting the products by setting the voluntary standard for quality enhancement and proper indication for wet tissue and bottom wipe for baby which belongs to the cosmetic category.

Wet Hand and Face Towel Division They put focus on the information exchange among members in an attempt to create sound growth of market and to maintain safety and upgrade the quality of the products.

Voluntary Standard Committee The mission of committee is to formulate and execute the voluntary standard for purpose of maintaining product safety and upgrading the quality and creating appropriate indication.

Technical Committee The committee is engaged not only in the technical development and the test method to enhance the quality of the cleansing wipes but also in the study of the product safety.

Research　and Public Relations Committee This committee works on the maintenance of the mutual communication among industry by publishing its organ named "JCWIA News" twice a year and also undertaking the educational activities to promote association mark (cw mark) outside the industry.
